Unlucky Compton?

Hi first proper cricket post this time...basically as the title suggests is Compton unlucky to miss out?

My personal opinion is that he is. The guy is a run machine who has the potential to be a pivotal part of the England team for years to come. He acquitted himself well in India, can see off the new ball and once in score heavily.

He has been asked to go away and get runs....this his done including a big 100 for his county and 2 50's against the Australians. He got back to back 100's in New Zealand when not a lot of England players covered themselves in glory over there. I remember when Cook was going through a bad run and calls for his place were made but however once he got over to Australia he has certainly never looked back!!!!

Maybe Compton should be given a longer run and who knows mate a Cooky MK2???

Thanks for reading.....

My first blog....

.....so here goes....

I am 29 well 30 in 2 weeks and all my life my main passion has been England cricket team. I'm now looking to record my thoughts, opinions and encourage debate regarding all things England cricket team related. With the ashes starting in a week there is no better time to start.

So keep checking out this blog and please contribute, comment and discuss. Any ideas of what people would like me to post (England related) would be much appreciated!

Well speak soon and remember to keep checking!

C'mon England!
