My personal opinion is that he is. The guy is a run machine who has the potential to be a pivotal part of the England team for years to come. He acquitted himself well in India, can see off the new ball and once in score heavily.
He has been asked to go away and get runs....this his done including a big 100 for his county and 2 50's against the Australians. He got back to back 100's in New Zealand when not a lot of England players covered themselves in glory over there. I remember when Cook was going through a bad run and calls for his place were made but however once he got over to Australia he has certainly never looked back!!!!
Maybe Compton should be given a longer run and who knows mate a Cooky MK2???
